Bruce Anderson has been one of Canada’s premier public affairs consultants and commentators for decades.
He has been a leading pollster since 1983 and has twice served as CEO of Decima Research. He is currently Chairman of Abacus Data.
In addition to his polling and market research work serving clients across many sectors, (including telecommunications, broadcasting, pipelines, banking, oil and gas, mining, forestry) he is a founding partner of i2 Ideas and Issues Campaigns, a boutique that is the market leader in creative and media targeting services to clients in the public affairs marketplace.
Bruce also provides strategic counsel, speeches, brainstorming, facilitation services, and other advisory capabilities through his company Anderson Insight, as well. Over the years, he has been a trusted advisor to political leaders in the Progressive Conservative and Liberal Parties as well as to leaders of corporations and advocacy groups.
One of Canada’s best known and respected commentators on public affairs and public opinion, Bruce has for several years been a columnist with the Globe and Mail and is formerly a regular member of the country’s most watched political panel on CBC’s flagship news program, The National.
Bruce is an active member of the community and is one of the founders of the Jaimie Anderson Parliamentary Internship program, which provides summer employment opportunities for young people with federal MP’s. He and his wife Nancy Jamieson have two daughters and live in Ottawa.
